I just got this wonderful e800 but I'm having a haaaard time connecting it to easystudio via infrared,

I got the latest version of easystudio and I'm running windows xp

my computer always recognizes the phone but easystudio either stops responding or just doesn't find the phone.. I have managed to connect it 3 times or so.. but I've tried like 100 times..

anyone got any amazing trick for me to have it working?

Hi Katrin,
I had the same problem with my D500... in the end I have just used the program that comes with Windows and just transfer all files that way, I know it means you can't manage your stuff with that software but at least you can get music and images on there etc etc.
Also, if you have installed service pack 2, your infra red will have problems. It blocks it, and it's hard to stop this until you remove the pack, so you'd have to restore.

thanks gem.. so you just never could have it working with easystudio? and the infrared thingy that comes with windows.. that's only for uploading files right? I need to get my pictures from my phone..
do you know if it would work if I'd buy a data cable?

I have service pack 2 but my computer can identify my phone so I guess the problem isn't here..

No, for some reason the infra red would stop working every time I tried to upload an image or ringtone.
Yep that's the one.
I have had problems with getting the right data cable in the past for my other Samsungs... so I don't know if that's worth a go or not.
Can I ask you if you got two batteries with your phone? and if not, how is your battery life? because mine runs out after a day!
