My wife and I have Siemens SX56 PDA phone devices for almost 2 yrs now. Our contract is up in April. We are on a contract with a free replacement phone in two years, free nights and weekends starting at 7 pm, and free 200 additional anytime minutes. Conversations with representatives tell us that we will not get a free replacement pda phones from ATT because they are trying to migrate all the ATT customers.
Should I migrate now to get the refurb pda phones and get it over with or is there something they are not telling me?
Why is the data package so expensive for the blackberry? I do not think it was this much with ATT.
I do not care too much for EBAY because you never know what you are going to get.
ideas?

I called Cingular to make the migration today from ATT to Cingular. The first representative told me he could not locate my cell phone number in the system but was able to locate my wife cell phone number. However, he was able to get me the LG C2000 for FREE. I figure, not great but it should be okay for a short time.
He then recommends to transfer me to "customer care" to fix the problem so I can migrate. Customer care said there are no problems and transfer me back to another migration team member.
This time, they told me they are unable to provide me with the LG C2000 because it is not FREE! They told me that deal is for new customers only! Huh??? They said that since I get the corporate discount, I do not have access to those phones.
This guy said that the only free phones are the Samsung X497 and the Nokia 3120.
Can some body here give me an idea of how can this happen?

software....the first rep knew the c1500 is free... he couldnt find you in the system for whatever reason... the second rep didnt have the 1500 to offer prolly cause it was out of stock and offered you the 2000 as a substitute
procedurally the first rep shouldnt have offered you anything as you are corporate and are on a different pricing matrix

I got a couple of phone numbers to call for the business services from the Cingular forum. I was told to check the premier site and the offers were exactly what the first customer service guy told me!
I am going to call them again to see what's up.

We will continue to honor any contracts that are still on AWS GSM system, TDMA on the other hand is a different story

in probably about a year there'll be no TDMA with att.. there will only be the die hards with plans stacked with promos (800min on a 29.99 plan), the rest will be migrated. just over 100thou left so it shouldn't take long till those tdma towers are phased out anyways..
