i see that the s700i is a 900/1800/1900 gsm phone. and my att only sells the 850/1800/1900 phones. would i be able to use the s700i with AT&T? i live in northin california. or do i have to wait tell they release the s710a?

850 sucks anyway. My s700i has better signal then any of my previous 5 phones.

so 850 gsm isnt good? then y do people care so much? and y is the s710a going for $700+ with 6 days to go on ebay? maybe people r retarded, weird

Which is a conclusion which is no explanation...
USA = GSM 850/1900
Europe/Asia = GSM 900/1800
Afaik AT&T uses GSM 1900 (like all, it's the popular frequency).
But sometimes providers use GSM 850 as secondary frequency when their capacities on GSM 1900 are full. But that's very rare.

naw dowg, its the s710a that $800+ now. the s700i's are like $500 or less on ebay. so i'll get one soon now. thanks everyone for all yo help

So, no call dropping or people not hearing your voice ?
I have Nokai 6682 and it's driving me wild. So, I need to exchange and I like S700i but not 710 that cingular is selling. Plus 700i is selling for 399 on Sony Ericsson's website in a promo.
