Once your messages have already been saved to the phone, I don't know of any way to put them on the SIM. The SEEM edit mentioned will cause messages received after the edit to be saved to the card, but doesn't do anything with messages already in phone memory.
You may not even need to do any SEEM editing anyway--see my earlier post about Inbox setup in the phone's menu.

i was always able to move them to the sim with the "options" menu while reading the text. not to sure if its on all models though
