No need to buy data cables, and no need to purchase a program. Just use the Bluetooth already available on the VX8350 and download BitPim, which is a free program.

1) Pair your computer and your phone. Make sure both are on discoverable mode. I have Vista and then did the following:
a. Open up Bluetooth Devices on the Control Panel
b. On the "Devices" tab, highlight your phone and select "Properties"
c. Select the "Services" tab and check the box with the Com port. Note the Com port number - you may need it for the Phone Wizard in BitPim.

2) Download BitPim (do a google search)

3) Click on the "Find Phone" Icon. If you see a message that says "Phone Detection Failed. No phone detected/recognized. Run Settings?" hit yes.

4) Use the Phone Wizard to select your phone! (typing in the phone type did not work).

5) Follow the menu options to import/export data to/from your phone/computer!
