hi, i have 2 v600 right now. one, is from germany and has the ver.
TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.1DR_A and the other is a AT&T.

On the AT&T phone i cant see the soft ver., the option is disabled. (SW Info)

I will like to know if there is any posible trouble when i flash a phone with AT&T soft on it.

Is posible to broke the phone flashing it? I know that it can happend when the electricity goes off, or the cable disconnects on the process.

Should i buy a original motorola usb cable? or another brand is fine?

Im going to try the TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.4AR soft on the first phone.

Should i try directly TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.55R? How is posible to not being able to revert back to another version?

If after the flashing, the phone dosent turns on, how can i revert back?

MANY, MANY thank..

excuse my english.

Look in the motorol tutorials section on how to flash/flex.

If your not carefully, the phone will not bootup and you will probably be left with a broken phone.

I would suggest you flash with the .4a flash first. You can always go back to a different files other than the orginal file from the store.

If you flash it to the .55R, you will not be able to revert back or upgrade in the future as the .55R installs a new bootloader not recognize by older flash/flex files.

There is a code to start the phone in bootloader if the phone does not turn on after flashing. I can't think if the steps now. Let's hope you don't come to this point.

Hoped I cover all the questions??

i think soo.

but, about the AT&T phone, the guy who sold me the phone told me to not flash it because it can get broke.

this is true? i dont think soo, but wanted to ask anyway.

i will recieve the moto usb cable by monday afternoon. i m still reading tutorials about how to flash my phone.

i was wondering, how can i make a app for my moto? i wanted a app that can read text, and scroll it in full screen. Something like a app to read ebooks in my phone. i saw mobile basic 2.1. Can i do that?

I just flash/flexed my orange V600 because I screwed up while hex editing my menu layout. The version software I 'upgraded' to is a little different, but I think better, ultimately.

The only bit of bother I have is a 'Flex error: Phone subsidy locked', which a forum search revealed to be a warning that my phone is locked to my service provider.

Did you use the F9 flex? Read below.

No it is nothing so bad as that, just open p2kman and go to 'a/mobile/system/secure_pds_init' and delete 'secure_pds_init'.
After that it won't show up anymore.

It's as phattbam said, someone with too much time and too much corn chips and k/y jelly trying to be a funny guy, worked though, it's been spooking and annoying people for many months

STR8G8:

Read this post I found in a different forum.

If you do decide to take the plunge and flash and/or flex your phone, you will not be able to undo what you have done. let me restate that for the dense at heart...YOU CANNOT BACKUP YOUR OLD FIRMWARE OF FLEX FILES BEFORE YOU FLASH. PERIOD.. This cannot be done at all right now. The only speculated firmware that can be reverted is the v505's firmware, because rumor has it it's standard firm is .4AR. However there is no flex file for that phone out.

This also means, since nobody can backup their original firmware or flex, that there are NO branded flexes or original firmware files out at all. If you flash and/or flex your phone, you will loose these brandings with little to no chance of getting them back ever on your phone.

Flashing/Flexing voids your warranty, so doing so is a risk you are willing to take. If you mess up and can't turn your phone on all the way, pull the battery (known as a "Hard Shock" to some tech's) and try holding * and # down and then pushing the power button. If that doesn't work, try the two soft keys on top of the phone, just to either side of the menu key. Then plug your phone in and try to flash again. Those combinations of keys load the phone's flash mode, and should help you if something has gone wrong.

But if, after all of this, you still can't get anything, you are probably out of luck. This means you can't flash back for warranty purposes, nor can you turn the phone on.

Feel free to leave comments and/or suggestions. I am linking this thread to the sticky that MartianViking started, the Flashing/Flexing guides thread.
