I have found the way to backup and reinstall games from the 7000 using a data cable and Bitpim. I haven't been able to try it on a phone that has never had the game installed, but if someone wants to try, I can send you the files needed if you have Bitpim, a data cable and minor technical knowledge.

Ok we have two testers for this little experiment. As soon as we confirm the installation process we will get the instructions posted!

test failed, im wondering if we also need the program you used to get the game...you know when you get sony music box to get ringtones and then when you delete the program the ringtones go with it and get deleted. can you just get the game or do you need the provider with it?, just a thought maybe you can send the files of the provider also

No, the software is there, what I need to do is isolate the launch command in Get It Now. I have found the init files for the games, but now I have to reverse engineer the coding to get the launch command for each game. Once I figure out which line corresponds to which came it will be a simple 'cut and paste' situation.
I thought it might be a problem, so I had started working on it already. Course we can't expect it to be totally easy - wonder if I could just copy the entire file and let you launch it from there??? Just might work...

Good news/Bad news...
I did finally get an installation of a game on a VX6000 to work. The bad news was that we didn't backup the previous games before transferring. Basically, this transfer system works when there are NO apps installed. You copy the entire string in the BREW folder in Bitpim and the Get It Now folder and send it.
It will clear: Photos, Videos, Applications and Web Settings...
So until there's another way, you basically only want to attempt this with a brand new phone. Otherwise you lose all the data you had saved.

Right, you can back up the original data, but then when you 're-overwrite' the data to put the info back into the phone, you lose the changes that were made that are required to use the software.
They have this system locked up pretty tight, but we'll keep working through it to see what we can find...
