Hi
I have a motorola v300, but since a week, when I switch it on , after some few minutes, it goes off by itself. Whenever I start the procedure, it goes back off.
I dont know what to do.
What it your advice?

Repost your question in a new thread as it does not have anything to do with unlocking the phone.
Thank you.
Let me just tell you what I've been through today on this subject. I'd love to hear any comments or input.
I recently purchased a Moto Razr V3. Before I did this I called Singular and asked them if the phone was unlocked. I told them my carrier was T-Mobile. They asured me it would be unlocked but I would of course have to pay the full price $600. I did and to my dismay it was indeed LOCKED.
I called the manager who suddenly played dumb and offered a full refund. I said I paid for the phone unlocked and thats what I expect. He said there was nothing he could do. For "Blank" & Giggles I called T-Mobile. Nothing they could do. I drove to a local cell shop that specializes in unlocking phones who said he has unlocked a number of the V3's already. Reasonable price too, $15 He was dumbfounded! He couldn't do it. He said it must be a new version or series. He said I would have to wait until new software was available.
I then called Cingular again and spoke with a supervisor. She said that the only one who could unlock it or offer the unlock code was the manufacturer...Motorola. I called Motorola and they said they could not, by law, give out the codes and that only the carrier can. He informed me of a website Cingular has where you can request the Subsidy password or code. However, the website states this is only for active Cingular customers.
In the middle of all this I begin to feel as if I am in a "Keystone Cops" movie.
So, I was honest, paid for the product and this is what I get. And the truth is I was truely considering moving over to Cingular once my contract was up. Not now!! I can't believe these idiots do business this way. Sorry but these Bozo's need to be regulated!!
I am a cingular customer who is not under their contract and still trying to get subsidy unlock codes. I had similar experiences. Some of them were helpful and some were not. One of the rep read me about the rules of cingular. It said that if the world phones were bought between Jan 2001 and October 2004, they do not need unlocking to use it out of the country. However, if using in the domestic network (U.S.A) then, if the customer has completed his contract, it can be unlocked with the help of Tech asistance. If more than 5 errors are done while unlocking phone, then the phone will not work. She even gave a number to Tech assistance 866-227-0740 which does not work! I have emailed them . I tried to contact again but ended up with a stone wall rep. I am waiting !!

Hey People. I have an old School Motorola V70e and obviosuly it is an Orange phone (hense the e) but i have a very decent pay as you go deal with o2 and i am looking to unlock it to all networks. From what i have read this is only possible through a phone shop, is this correct for my model, or can anyone find me a subsidy code for which i would be very grateful. Also, if i have to go to the shops to get this unlocked, how much would it cost roughly and how would i go about doing it?
Cheers, Mike

Just insert a different simcard in ( say Tmobil) and the fone will ask for subsidy code that is when you start to punch in the code

Thanks for the help. Cingular sent me an email today with the detailed steps for each phone. While motorola requires diiferent simcard to unlock, Sony ericsson doesn't. Really appreciate the help. I have spoken to atleast 8 reps before getting these codes! Lesson learnt is to get their email address before hanging up so that you don't have to talk to different rep all over again. 50% of the reps pretend it can not be done or ask us to call our Phone manufacturer. Once you mention that it is our legal right they usually connect you to some one who can actually help! Waste of time!!
