I have a Moto V505. I tried to unlock this phone through www.unlockmyphonenow.com, the code didn't work. They are offering to unlock it for free but I have to send them my phone. How trust worthy is this?? Is there any other way that I could get the correct code for my phone without being ripped off, or any other out of pocket expenses. The service provider that I am with is AT&T and there is no way they are giving the code out. What am I to do?? Have you heard anything about the above website?? icon_sad.gif I also found the website simunlock@cingular.COM and upon request they will give you the subsidy code, but you have to be a Cingular customer. I am not. Is there any way that I could forward my info to a Cingular customer and they could email the code to you and then you could email me the code. So, that way I would not have access to your info but you would be helping me out. is there anyone willing to help me out??

Are you with AT&T now? if you are i say try to call up Cingular and bring up the fact that AT&T is now Cingular and that if they want you to be their customer when your contract is end, they should give you the code or you walk and that Tmobile will unlock their customer upon request

when you unlock a phone does it mean you can use antoher carriers cell towers if your carrier does not have service in that area? because i have t-mobile and some places i travel do not have t-mobile coverage but cingular does have coverage there as well as celluar one. and if i did this would it cost extra to use the other carriers towers or would it be just like when you roam on your nationwide plan?

No, all it does is allow you to use other carrier simcard.

If you are bnot with AT&T then you may want to go back to the unlock guy to ask for your money back tell him that the reasone you were willing to paid top doolars for it because you don't want to send your fone out and now that they failed to unlock it you want your money back and if they refuse then take it up to ebay or paypal see if they can help you .Bottom line is make a stink and noise sa loud as you could and you may get your money back.
Last option, pay for postal back and forth, send it to me i'll do it for what ever you feel like to donate or free. As i have said before i give out this offer for 5 peole and so far 3 has trusted me enouhgt to have it done so 2 left.

I'm not sure on that part but here the thing about Tmobil. Your fone is originally a quardband fone but Tmobile has limited down to triband. Unlock your fone and buy a simcard adapter call ghost simcard adapter, that would fit 2 sim in your fone all you have to do is switch sim when you needed to. By do that you can buy prepaid simcard from cingular and have it to switch if that what you need.

Only if you plan to travel to a country that uses 850mhz. Other than that, there is no use to have the extra bandwidth.
