I tried all possible combination of the keys: # * and ON to get my V400 in bootloader status, but it always turns on normally and asks for my SIM password.
I got the program from GSM liberty and the cable, but can't set the phone to be ready for update. What am I missing ?
Many thanks,

I beleave you have to hold both of those keys down while powering on would take you to a white screen boot loader mode.

Check your network setting to see if you have 850-1900 Mhz bandwidth avaialble. I think this model operating on 900-1800 Mhz (Asia and Europe) May need to use opcode to change bandwidth.

Click Menu then 048263* This open OPCODE
Enter the following code:
10*0*3 for GSM 900
10*0*4 for GSM 1800
10*0*5 for GSM 1900
10*0*6Dual band GSM 900/1800 (European and ASIA )
10*0*7 North America GSM 850/1900.
Note:After you enter a selected code and hit ok you see Success it is done.
May taking up to 2 hours after searching for network to work . So after cahnge with opcode just power and wait for 2 hours.
Good luck

As soon as you hit the menu key ( the top midel with 3 bars) you got 5 second to enter code wait too lond it's not working. This modle is made specific tly for ASIA so i hope you can change it by opcode.

You may have to settle for that 1900 and hope it's work. If it's say code error that mean code it's not exit to that model
