I've just bought a 6610 last week and forgot my security code (I wanted to change simcard). A friend said he can fix it but that he has to "reset" my phone. And so he did.
But now everytime I connect the phone via IrDA onto my PC, the message says it sees a 7210.
I don't notice anything changed in the features, just annoyed seeing 7210 instead of 6610 whenever I connect to my PC.
Any suggestions how can I change it back? Or it doesn't really matter? TIA

I don't think there is much different between the phones but the external design.
So it shouldn't really matter as both fones use poly tones, 128x128 pixle screen and java games.

I had the same problem with the 6610/7210 stuff... but it makes no difference. Worked that time.

I too don't think there is much different between the two models except the physical look.

yep..exactly the same firmware and functions..only the cover and keypad layouts are different...
