with all the problems people have had with the v600, i would go for the v505. also, the v505 is considered an upgrade of the v600.

I just switched from nokia 6820 to moto v505.. before that i called the cust care and spoke to the salesperson... he said taht v505 got more memory, therefore is faster... got better reception signals as well.. so i went for 505! had no problems with it so far...the only minus is - it doesn't have the infrared port, so i can't transfer photos and rings from laptop to cell phone...

Bummer about the infrared port, but I transfer contacts and pictures from my moto v505 to my laptop by using bluetooth. It's sweet and fast. Does burn battery time if I forget and leave the bluetooth on. Makes sense, it does that to my laptop too.

I dunno realboy. I'd say you've got a defective phone. It worked like a champ for me. Heck, I just took a bunch of pictures of a friend's wedding dress for her mom, transfered them to my laptop, and emailed them at starbucks. It was pretty impressive.
