Hi all. I admit I'm a newbie, but I did try to do my homework before posting. Just got the V265 and have some questions.

1) How can I get the phone to call voicemail and automatically enter the password? I did read this tip on the forums:

http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic18927-0-asc-0.html

Change it to +1xxxxxxxxxxp(paswrd)#
Where x is voicemail number and ( ) is your password
TO get p: hold down *

Problem is that I can't get the + to appear. I know that (at least on some motorola phones) pressing the 0 will eventually result in a +. But that isn't happening. No matter how long I hold it, it stays a 0. Any ideas?

2) Can I link camera phone photos to my contacts, so that when the phone rings, the picture will show up? This seems like it must be possible, but I haven't been able to find anything.

Thanks.

Question 1:
Pressing 0 does change to a +. I have no idea why the V262 isn't doing it.

Question 2:

You can only add a picture to contact store in phone and not to sim. Go to a contact, click on edit, scroll down until you see picture. Select photo picture and save.

Thanks a lot, GM. But dealing with this phone is making me feel crazy.

As for 1) when I hold down 0, the tone changes (like it does when I change a * to a p) but it remains a zero. Baffling.

>You can only add a picture to contact store in phone and not to sim.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

When I go to Contacts, I select a contact. I choose edit. As options I get: Name, Category, No., Type, Speed No., Ringer ID, MORE... (which leads to Add New Phone No./E-mail address.) I don't see anything that says picture.

Any ideas? Thanks again.

question 2
You have the option to save your contacts to the sim card or the phone. The contacts maybe saved to your sim rather your phone, therefore, you don't see 'phone' option.

question 1:
goto menu, settings, initial setup, dtmf. Try setting that to long if it is not.

Thanks so much for your help.

Question 1: Unfortunately, I tried your suggestion but zero still will not turn to plus.

Question 2: How do I shift between "sim" and "phone"

I hate to say it, but I also am having the same problems with these features on the moto v265 that I recently got through verizon. It does say that it has the photo ID feature on the box, but there is nothing in the manual that explanes how to set it up. I also do not have the photo option in the contact settings on the phone. Any help would be appreciated.
