anyone know how to remove the onscreen "orange" wording on a d500? gets in the way of my wallpaper... help please!!

I have a partial solution:-
Go to Settings ------Display Settings-----Text display(This refers to "Orange" Logo)
Change colour to match your background picture
Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to remove it.........yet

go to menu then settings then display choose text display and on the text position select off job done hope that helps
