Hi folks
Just wondering if anyone has had experience syncing their SGH-D500 with Microsoft Outlook. The PC Sync software that comes with Easy Studio only seems to work with the phonebook. I have emailed the technical people at Samsung and they confirmed that this is the case.
Has anyone found any third party utilities that allow you to sync the calendar with the D500 aswell? The Samsung software is quite primitive from what i see.
Also has anyone found out how to use the SyncML function that this phone is supposed to have. None of the sites seem to support sending the settings to the phone yet but i cant find anything in the boook or in the menus about how to set it up manually. This would be the other option with regards to syncing, but i cant find anything in the literature about how to setup the SyncML service on the D500. Has anyone got any experience of this?
Cheers
G!

I don't know if your profile is right but it says you are using a different phone from the D500. I dont know about other phones but Samsung themselves admit that the calendar does not sync using PC Sync with the the D500.
Anyone else had a similar experience?

sorrie, i just didn't use mobiledia in a while and didn't update my profile. I am using the D500.
And believe me, you can sync the calendar of outlook. Just use PC Sync after installing easy studio. The only thing is that you might have character restrictions, such as only a certain length for the subject field.

I'm using PC Sync version 0.7.15
What is your problem exactly? You can't connect your phone to the program? doesn't recognize your phone?

Same version here.
No, it works with my address book and I can syncronise that with my Outlook Contacts folder without any difficulty. It also syncronises the Notes folder but i cannot get it to work with even the simplest of calendars
It either sits indefinately at the "initialising" stage or it comes up with the Sync Failed message.
Samsung have already told me that the Calendar Sync shouldnt work but i was wondering if anyone had managed to get it working in some other way.

Hmmm, that is very strange, I thought your problem might be your connection isn't recognized to your phone. That doesn't make any sense if you are able to sync contacts and notes but not the calendar. Maybe try uninstalling easy studio with PC Sync and reinstalling it. Its a long shot but it might just work.

I have already attempted that but it makes no difference unfortunately.
Maybe Samsung will bring out a new version at some point.
Has anyone found out how to use the SyncML functions the phone supposedly has because i cannot see how to set it up?
