Hey guys/gals, i was wondering if any of you know how to increase the volume of an mp3 file that i've already edited to go to my phone. When i put the ringtones on my V300 it sounded lower then the ones i downloaded from the phone internet. Any programs that might do the job?I tryd one called wave studio for WAV files but it only sounded nastier if i put the volume up.

You could go to www.go-open-source.co.za to get the software there. It is 100% legal, as they are in partnership with the Shuttleworth Foundation (the owners of the site). You should be able to download it from there. If it isn't available there, you could order their FREE CD online with a lot of useful software on itsuch as Audacity, Mozilla etc. The CD will get delivered to you. (NOTE: The CD is from South Africa, so I don't know if it will get shipped overseas for free. Check to see if the option is available)

or maybe try http://www.mptrim.com
I used that software ot pick my fav MP3's and then pick my fav part of the song. It can cut to your fav song part, and also if you go to the bottom of the program, you can turn the volume up on the ringtone.

Does your phone have Bluetooth? Or do you have a data cable? If not, you will have to send it via SMS or MMS
