I am part of a Verizon FamilyShare Plan, and recently purchased an LG VX7000 phone and love it.
I am looking into possibly purchasing one of the get it now plans. I don't do a huge amount with the phone and all its extras - but here's what I might do. I already have the 100 text messages a month for $2.99 and what to keep that.
So as of now, with no plan - how much will it cost me to send/receive a picture? Is the cost the same for a movie?
The only other thing I am interested in is getting news and sports scores off the phone. What would be the cost of adding that service? And if so, are there any strings attached. I read about the cost of activating the service to the phone, but is there a cost to download the software. Also, will it cost me minutes when I use the service. I have read around but really just get overwhelmed with the details -so any clarification would be great.
I am basically just looking for what the overall cost of the texting and mobile web service would be. Thanks for any help and helping me get my feet wet.

when you connect to get-it-now it takes mins from your plan. I never knew that, and the first month I had my phone, I used so much, my bill was 50 more, and I only used like 50mins more

"Get it Now" is a complete RIP OFF!, grab yourself a data cable, trust me, it will pay itself off in the end , between all the ringtones and wallpapers i have gone through, i have saved myself easily over 100$ in fee's. plus i can make my own ringtones and wallpaper, better than what they can give it to me as.

What about using get it now for the web? Have people had luck with checking CNN and sports scores? (luck being do you like the way it works, is it reliable?)
I'm not really in to sending pictures/tones/wallpaper, I more want to find out about the web service.
