Which is not good.
The logo would normally be saved somewhere else where it can't be accessed and changed (only with some equipment).
When you accessed the logo via wap, what does it do?
Normally the phone would say "New logo received" (or something like this) and you can save it and it will be set.
It won't be downloaded to the phone like a normal picture.
Also something I've stubled on is, that the ota file needs to have the correct name with your network code, otherwise it won't be used.
But as I said, it will be saved in the inaccessable part of the phone.

Hi,
You're correct about it. Usually they are supposed to be situated in your phones memory which a user couldn't access. In my P800 the startup logo file is in Z:\system\data Directory. Here all files are readonly and couldn't be copied to this directory.

I don't know.
There are also different names for it because it differs for every country.
But simply renaming it won't solve the problem.
I would call Vodafone and ask them why you can't use operator logos.
It should be what I've already mentioned, that they permanently send an overwriting signal.

Are you absolutely certain that you have the correct network and country codes set for your operator logo? If they are not correct, then the phone will accept them, but they will simply not show on your screen...
