Does anyone have any comments on a Verizon CDMA phone that has the best reception? My guess is it's not probably a new model, but some older out of date model that no one likes because it's a bar phone.
I have a friend that lives in the mountains/fringe coverage area and I want to get her a phone and a Motorola T720 is "no coverage" which is odd in itself for Verizon.
Thanks

Well I must say you speak highly of At&T, you must have not had A Nokia verizon cell phone. Nokia + Verizon is the most impressive service I ever had. No metter what you do to a Nokia cell phone it will do its best to not loose service. It may read just one when you hit send, but just after you hit send the 3 antennas will boots it up to 4 bars! I know I had it happen. Around where I live, and go work, my service on my nokia cell phone always shows a max of 2 but everytime I call someone I never loose a call, ever!
But they rip you off for that great service, so that is why I'm switching soon

Make sure in remote areas you go with a tri mode phone. This makes it so that at all times you can pick up an analog signal or either of the two digital signals. I love my audiovox phone and have taken it up to lassen county in california in nowheresville and still get superior coverage. ATT and gsm technology cannot compare to cdma technology. cdma is a flat out better technology.
