HI
Have look at most of the posts with respect to data links on Samsung phones.
I have downloaded EasyGPRS and Set up for IRDa modem which has been asssigned to Com port 4.
When running the GPRS wizard it say Ready on status the selecting "Connect" it changes to "connecting to the device" then comes up with an error - Internal Autentification Failed.
Anyone else seen this and fixed it or it is easier with a cable connection?
Any help appreciated.

You EasyGPRS setup should look like this:
GPRS Wizard is to use your phone as a modem.

Still no luck with this.
The PC detects phone and installs as Samsung modem but speed will not set higher than 15200
It is assigned Com Port 4
When you select UK & Service Provider the details are filled in automatically
When you try to connect you get this.
Does anyone know if this would be eliminated by obtaining cable?

Are you trying to use your phone as modem so that you can go on the internet with it or do you want to transfer tones/images to and from the phone?

I am trying to transfer pictures from phone to pc and ringtones from pc to phone.

Click on EasyGPRS instead of GPRS Wizard and if EasySPRS has started go to File>Setup and change the com port to IrDa.

i have the same problem as above but program doesnt recognise my phone is connected to cpmputer with USB cable all set up in wizard is ok but just doesnt see it as online in EasyGPRS, cant seem to switch it on so to speak, comp recognises that phone is connected to comp but again cant seem to activate the modem
any ideas?

I too have had problems connecting my samsung e600 to the pc with a usb data cable. I phoned samsung and spoke to their technitians who advised me that you can not connect model E600 with a usb cable, but only possible with a parralel port cable. any suggestions on this?
