Alright this is my first cell phone and I have a few questions.
If I get a data link cable can I upload ringtones, games, and images right?
What data link cable do I need? And what software?
Is there anyway to play "real Music" ring tones? I dont understand why I cant. I can record my voice and voice reconqistion but it only plays Poly ringtones? *confused*
Is the T720 a good gaming phone?
Where can I d-load some free games?
Also: Why is it sometimes when my parents call me my phone doesnt ring of virerbrates and goes straight to my mailbox? Then when my mailbox gets it the phones beeps to tell me I have a voice maiL?
Thanks!

1** yes, get the data cable and sofwear call Mobile Phone Tool and you can transfer midi sound for ringtone ( TXXX does not support real tone) pics(gif 120X160) .
For game you need PST 6.7, JADMAKER. MIDWAY2.8 and no most game of V600 got more color and has sound also faster speed so they are not for TXXX.
Is this a T720g? mean does it have simcard?, reception known to be little week specialy in your pocket!!!. Sound is not loud enought and if you have losse pant you may not pick up the vibration. It is a nice fone but it is become a dinasor now aday, but hey i have 2 of them and still loving them .

Okay, I know this is besides the whole point, but how old are you. Considering that you just got your first phone.
Have a great day/night.

First of all, the Motorola V600 can handle two different types of games. They are Java and J2ME. Java is the more common one and most colour screen cellphones should have it. J2ME is an advanced form of Java which allows for better graphics and sound in games.
It all depends on the model of your phone, which I know is the T720, and the game you want to use on your phone. If the game is J2ME it won't work on your phone. I have done some research and have found out that only JAVA games will work on your phone. Therefore only certain Motorola V600 games SHOULD work on your phone.
You also asked if you phone could accept "real" tones. Most people refere to those as Truetones or mp3 ringtones. They may also be refered to as wav ringtones, depending on the ringtone's format. I have also done some research on this and have found out that you phone (sadly) doesn't support Truetones. Even though it does support voice recording, the voice recording is in a different format to Truetones. (Usually .amr format). I have a Samsung at the moment (my Motorola V500 will be delivered in 6 working days!) and it records in .amr, but does not support Truetones. (It does support (very) short talking ringtones, but that is in .smaf format).
As people have previously answered, you will need the Mobile Phone Tools software and a USB cable to connect your cellphone to the computer. These can be obtained by going to Motorola.com and selecting your country on the bottom left hand side of the screen. You will then be taken to your local motorola website, where there should be a cellphone link which would be followed by a Motoshop link (usually). From Motoshop you can buy accessories online, but I personally find them a bit expensive, so it might be a bit wise to shop around over the internet or at local cellular shops.
Hope you have a great day/evening and enjoy your new Christmas present!

The reason why I think your phone doesn't support Truetones is because it only has 500Kb of memory.
Most newer Motorolas that support mp3 have 5Mb or more memory. That allows for quite a little (they say 4 on hellomoto.co.za) Trutones. So you see, 500 Kb won't be able to sustain many Truetones.
If you would like your phone to play Truetones, you could try flashing and/or flexing it. Flexing it will make the phone faster in general and depending on what flexing software you use, your phone will be able to support Truetones and sometimes even short movies. I have heard from people who have flexed their phone and they gained an extra 1Mb of memory for some reason, but I don't know how that happened.
Anyway, enjoy the new year!
