People with the V551 model phone, how long does your battery last you? I got my phone just a week ago. I probably talk on it maybe 30 minutes tops per day. i have been messing with some games for may be 30 minutes on top of that. So 1 hour tops per day. If I charge my phone fully, I have to recharge the thing within the next day.

Do you have battery save: 0n, brightness set below 3 in your initial setup?

Not sure what you are saying. I checked my brightness setting. It was on 3.

There is a battery save mode. Check to see if that is set to on. Adjusting these settings will help increase battery life.

Can't find anything called Battery Saver in the Initial Setup menu. *shrugs* I don't get it. It says it does have it in the manual. WTF??
EDIT: I have Cingular. I notice in the manual it says "some networks and phones include a battery save setting..."

those battery times are way too low...are you running BT on all the time, even then you should get 3/4 hours constant game play without probs.
Make sure your charger itself doesn't have a 'buzzing' noise to it, this could be stopping a full charge (the phone will read the chargers capabilities and say charge complete)
then again, you may have a duff battery...it does happen

"BT" = battery time?
I would only get 3/4 hours worth of game time? That's it? That sucks.

agreed it does suck... the time allowance on the battery
these have an inbuilt memory programmed to deliver real time (talk/play) power & stand by power..which has to be a set time...also these have to match the phones battery settings, other battery types offer different amounts of each...
when peeps buy A NEW phone they are so eager to play with it, that they don't fully charge the battery first, this creates a memory level of charge allowed in the battery for that particular phone..hence 'blinking screen' within a few days/weeks. all new batteries have to have full charge the first time charged to set this level (this is for ALL re-chargables, not just phones,nicad,cars)
you didn't by any chance, back-up your battery settings with PST or anything like that did you...if so you may be able to restore the memory level

You know, that must be what happened. When I first got the phone I did plug it in to charge. The problem was I thought it was charging, but never did. It has some weird connection problem where sometimes it wont' recognize that the charger is connected. I have to disconnect the battery and then replug it in. Sometimes I even have to disconnect from the outlet.
Anyways, Cingular is sending out another phone for free. I will make sure I fully charge it this time before using it.
