G'day I hope someone can help me.
I began to install pc suite 5.1 for my phone - halfway through the installation it stopped with an error(don't remember the error) but I tried to reinstall it later but it won't until I've uninstalled the first. Well...there is no uninstallation in my comp for the pc suite. The original installation that didn't finish seemed to scatter pc suite everywhere in the comp & left behind the uninstallation. I need to get rid of it. I've since installed the latest version no probs but every now & then the old version pops up to try & finish the installation but if i let it go it just keeps telling me to uninstall what i already have (which i can't). Please help...

Hi,
I think you better move to the programme files and then delete the files manually. (C:\\programme_files\Nokia\pcsuite) And then install it.

Yes have already done that but doing that doesn't uninstall it. It needs to uninstall before reinstalling.

Thanx for that.
In the end I just gave up and put it through a recovery. That fixed the problem & I didn't lose anything else.

For future reference, Nokia has a registry cleaner application for this purpose - no need to manually modifiy the registry.
Do a search on www.nokia.com for "Nokia Register Clean", go to the PC Suite FAQ (first hit when I do the search). From there you can download the Nokia Register Clean application.
