I've read that the lg vx7000 has a screen saver and it's a animated gif. I was wondering how to change or even set a screensaver and if I can also change the openign sequence without actually hacking into the phone and voiding the waranty. I've already got the data cable, if that helps.

o ok thanks. it's quite deceiving, even in he review off this site said "screensavers are gif". well I love the phone anyways. I just thought it may have been a mistake in the user guide. Like i wanted to take pictures witht he phone closed, NOWHERE in any of the guides did it say how. I just found out by accident. But i guess screensavers don't exist. thanks again!

I don't know about screen savers... but I know you can have an animated gif as wallpaper, if that's what you're talking about. You can have them for both screens (inside and outside). If you have Verizon PIX messaging on your plan you can send it to yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com and it works fine. If you do not have PIX messaging, it will cost ¢25 to send. (It's better than paying $2+ for wallpaper) Once you recieve the PIX message, you should see the animated gif playing in the window. Go to options and hit save pic. Type in a name for it and boom! That's all there is to it.
NOTE:
[] The size for the wallpaper for the inside screen should be 220x220
[] If the gif has too many frames, it won't play the whole thing, but it will still play.
GOOD LUCK GUYS!

Hmm... wrong gif's? That sounds a bid odd. Mine have always worked tho, so I don't know what else to say.

Personaly, I use Adobe Photoshop with Adobe ImageReady, but there are tons of free applications that will do just fine for basic gif creations. Try http://www.download.com or do a google search for some good results. Hope this helps.
