I have two V620's and i can't set the wap and MMS settings. I have been to the motorola site and downloaded the settings to my phone, but they didn't work ( i can connect but all i get is the home page in list order and if i try and follow a link then it just gives me a search page). I contacted my provider (Orange) they tried to send my phone an update for the settings but the phone will not accept them as wap sessions are full. I can edit the settings for another provider but they don't work at all. The two settings that Motorola sent me have a lock sign next to them so i can't edit them. The phones i bought are also sim free.

My questions are:

Can i unlock the motorola settings so that i can edit them?

Can i somehow delete the other settings (ie for t mobile, vodafone, virgin etc) to free up some space

Which settings are correct for my phones with Orange on Wap and MMS as i read on the web that the settings for V600 do not work.

Any help would be appreciated before i throw these phones against the wall. icon_cry.gif

Have you phoned your service provider and had them activate GPRS/WAP?

Follow instruction here (Addendum 5) so you could delete the MMS/WAP/GPRS you don't need. I tried it with my V300 after flashing/flexing to V600 and it worked. However I still can't get on even after T-Mobile sent me the WAP settings.

Do it at your own risk.

I have had the same problem with both orange and O2. I get the list view but no graphics.

I have used the settings from my V600 so they definitely dont work with v620.

Have you sorted this out yet. I too am frustrated!

Just! I can now send MMS but i am still having a problem setting wap. I seem edited my phone to delete the settings not needed and used the MMS settings for the V550 uploaded from the motorola site. I tried the same for wap but still just get that silly list menu. I will let you know if i sort this out and if you find anything before me then let me know.
Cheers.

I went to Phones 4 U store to see if they could get it working. I too can get MMS working but I have now tried Vodafone sim as well in phone and all three networks all show Wap in list form.

I have phoned Motorola who tell me the handset is faulty but I have now tried in total three V620`s!! All the networks tell me that there is no problem with this phone where WAP is concerned.

All I want is a phone with graphics like my V600. I cannot find an answer to the problem. I think the phone is incompatible with UK GPRS networks in some way.

I tried settings for thr V500 upto the V600 inc V3 and all of them give the same list menu. I have manually put in the settings and the same again. There has to be some way of setting wap and i won't be beaten on this.
If i do manage it then you will be the first to know.
Motorola did say that the settings would have to be put in manually so if anyone in the UK on orange with a V620 could list me the exact wap settings that they are using then i could give that a go.
