I know the answer to your videos question.
You will need to flex your phone via a USB cable to a later model. You will then experience faster menus and should be able to play videos, depending on the flex software you use.
Flex software is available for free download off the net. Go to google and search for some.
Be careful though, as you can damage your phone if you do something wrong!

In regaurd to flashing with files found anywhere off the net I strongly advise against it. If you go flashing with any file you may find a file thats just out there not complete. Pretty much launching you and your phone into a world of omg im soo dead, further more I suggest you read the How To - Flash VXXX phones by our trusted advisor "duceduc" and proceed at your own discression as it will void your warranty.
I don't know if you can remove the shop cingular things but i know u can bump them in the menu order. Try going to the settings and personalize, there should be some kind of feature saying re-order menu or something allowing you to choose the icons order on the menu. And I'm not sure about changing the menu key but I do know that would be in settings to, probably found under Soft Keys or change Home Keys.

Here, check this link out http://xlr8.us/hofo/
You can replace an item in your multimedia menu (I replaced motomixer) with the video item and then you can play videos after seem editing to enable. Or, you can enable video playback with p2ktools, but you still have to edit the menu files.
I've read that you shouldn't mess with the main menu, only submenus, but you can try at your own risk. I think there are some people who are trying to get new menu items onto the phone without replacing others. But right now, replacing is the safest way to do it.
One more thing, I haven't heard of a flex that works for the v220 yet. Is there one out there? Cause I think the triplets don't work for it.

You can try this flash file at your own risk. It took me awhile to find/beg for it.

Thanks. Where did you get the file from? The accompanying text file says it disables 850 bandwidth. That's actually kind of bad for me cause 850/1900 are what's used here in the states. I wonder what else is in there. I don't think I'm brave enough to try it, but thanks nonetheless.
