icon_wacko.gif Im Confused on where to upgrade my Firmware...I have a T637 and already know my firmware is old. Everytime my phone rings its an increasing ringtone even when I turn the option for it off, it even does it when playing the rintone from my sounds, so i finally heard that upgrading the firmware will fix it, but I dont want to upgrade it myself (Id probably brake my phone). So where do you get the latest firmwhere? Ive searched everywhere for a site that will tell me where to go to get it done, but ive gotton nowhere icon_frown.gif . HElp?

Hi,
Try the SonyEricsson Service Centre, and demand for the latest one. Since they could just do the out dated one aswell.

Yeah, Im sure mines old, its like R3a something, but everyone keeps on talking about the sony ericsson service centers, and I want to go to one but where are they? Is there a site that shows there locations or a number you can call? I have a T637 so Im in the U.S (texas) so i guess it would be a 1-800 number, but if anyone knows a site or anything, please help me out, but 4 now i guess ill just look through all the papers i got with the phone for any numbers or information.

r3a025 or 27 depending on your service is the latest firmware for the t637, mine has r3a010 and works fine. but I sure would like to be able to download games via bluetooth and use amr ringtones. If anyone knows what these updates do, I'd sure appreciate it.

download games through bt from computer, should be possible. Atleast in the T630, and amr tones are not included in any firmware i think.

I called Sony Ericsson today and they said I could send my phone in and they would "Flash" it or something, I guess that means do an overall checkup for any problems but I dont know. The man I talked to said I should only send it in if it had a problem but otherwise it was up to me. He said there wernt any walk in service centers, only one in North Carolina (i live in Texas) that is for repairs, and he couldnt guarantee that I got the latest firmware thats out, just whatever firmware that would fix the problem I had. So im wondering now if I should send it in cause I really hate this increasing ringtone that I cant get rid of, even when I turn the feature off, but I dont want to wast my time with sending it in, So does anyone have any advice, it would take at least 7 business days (A little more then a week without my cell and still paying the bill icon_blink.gif). Thanks... and If I do have the latest firm ware for my t637 (i have R3A027), has anyone else had this problem with the ringtone starting off low, and then going to the volume level you set it as even though you turned incresing ring off?

ok, well, i think the increasing ringtone is in every T63x (maybe the whole x6xx series).

Little offtopic; Im rather lucky i know a guy who works at the swedish service center, i can make him do nearly what ever i want with my phones icon_razz.gif

Well, flashing means that they change ur firmware, or just upgrades it. If you buy ur self a termiator dongle, u'll be able to flash it ur self. In a couple of minutes.
