Using optiflash 4.14, and following the tutorial elsewhere on this forum to the letter, I get the following error when trying to backup my x427m rev 1.2
ERR_RANGE_OUTSIDE_FLASH
Any ideas? I searched the forum and it said try selecting a different phone model. So far, I keep getting the same error. Any suggestions?

hoyer: maybe it's the flash range that's causing a problem. For my X426, I see that the "personal settings" flash range is causing that error.
I have a question:
Is the X427M firmware on Roswell's site in the "Unlocked" state? If not, at least will my AT&T sim card work with that firmware?
I don't have an unlocking cable, so that fact is kinda important to me.

Did anybody try to flash x426 with USB cable ? I assume that at least I have download usb-to-serial drivers and then Cerberos/Optiflash software ?
P.S. Sorry for the off-topic but how to change setttings on Cerberos that it can communicate on other ports beside COM1 ?

Since this is the x427m thread, where would one find that file since it no longer seems to be hosted on Roswells site?
Also notice in another thread about different versions available for x427m, ie asending ring tones, message indication from led, etc. Is there any list of files and options/modifications floating around?

Looks like it's been a couple years since this thread last got some action, so here goes. I'm also looking for x427M Firmware v1.2. Roswell's site seems to still be missing a few files. If someone has this, could you please upload it to an online service like rapidshare or the like? I'm also looking for a couple other files that are related to this firmware.
