Can you use any Java games on this phone ?

I've been trying to get some Nokia jav games that my mate on their and some semi work (load and perform an applicaiton error) and others jsut perform the application error straight up.

Getting them on there is pretty easy, but how do i know what will work.

Or can i convert the Nokia games to suit the Motorola ?

I was hoping since they were all Java that they woudl work on most of the phones. Is this not right because of colours and screen sizes etc differ?

Are the games not maybe Copy Protected? This could be the reason. I don' see any reason why the games won't work on the phone.

It could be the JAVA format though. You get different JAVA formats such as .jar and .jad. Maybe your phone doesn't support the Nokia's version of JAVA games.

Yeah some loadand then cause a crash problem, and some don't load. My mate has a Nokia phone and he has trouble with a couple of them.

I have a Jar - Jad converter but it doesn't make a difference.

Hi , i found a load of FREE games for the motorola v620 at the site below:
http://grapnel.co.uk/v620/Free/Mobile.Games/
Most seem to work okay.

Just a Note on Jar and Jad Game files:

*.Jar files are the actual game files you need, *.jad files are just shortcuts pointing to the jar file. In most cases the jar file is all you need depending on how you download you games to your phone. If you need the *.jad files then there are are number of free utilities out there that will generate them for you from the *.jar game file.

Thanks.
