i set my front lcd banner to say something and it doesnt change, anyeon else have this problem?

i have the same problem, there must be a way to do it, or else they wouldnt give the option!!

It works with one of my test phones:
--> Menu
--> Settings and Tools
--> Display
--> Banner
--> Front LCD
--> Enter Text
--> Hit Save (Middle Key)

It's the same on my phone. Nothing. Hmm... odd. There's a strange one. A setting that doesn't do anything...

Im wondering if its the outer clock setting. My test phone is set to digital.
