But why?
The existing viruses are no thread.
Cabir wants to copy itself via bluetooth and does nothing else, so just uninstall it.
And skulls can be is also removed manually easily. |
i received the cabir virus on my 6230 before..but it said file format not supported..it is only works for smartphones is it?

Yes, it only works on smartphones with Symbian OS.
"Normal" phones are still virus free.

U mean there r only two virues. Cabir & skulls? . And wap sites don't do any harm? Then one should not instal any Antivirus? Then why a consistent warning is given "b careful " while visiting them?

Viruses for Smartphones are kind of scare stories.
They exist, they can do a bit harm.
But the user is still the one who installs apps.
So if you install stuff on you phone from a not trustworthy source (warez, received via bluetooth from somebody you don't know, etc.), I wouldn't complain if I get a virus...
So don't forget:
- don't install anything from not trustworthy sources!
- no apps install themselves, the user still has to interact!

I would say no, sound more like a hardware failure.
But to be sure you might reboot into safe mode.
To start your phone in the safe mode press and hold the "Pencil" key, turn on the phone and hold the Pencil key pressed until the system finishes loading.
The safe mode will bypass all automatically starting programs.
If the key still won't work in safe mode, it's a hardware failure for sure.
