I have the latest MPT 3.11, but it does not recognize my V220 as being qualified for the "multimedia tool". I tried the Live Update, to not avail. Upon reading some forums, I've discovered that MPT does not recognize this phone as being capable. However, I have also read that you can overide this problem by telling the software that you have a different phone. I cannot figure out how to do this as the live update always requests that my phone be plugged in and subsequently configures itself to that phone. Any advice is appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!

There is a problem cause if you do your live update it should take you all the way to 3.19 that is the latest now. Have you install the driver manualy? if you let window and wizard done it for you then that is the problem.

I'm not either i'm just an Old_Fool
Setting--control panel-- system--harware---device manager---modem you should see something like motorola usb modem, click on that then find the update driver tab click on that . Now it should give you option to do it manualy choose advance and specific location then piont it to your mpt folder. Sample C;\program\mpt\inf this should work. good luck

ok, could not figure out. My phone seems to work with MPT however, the multimedia icon does not even show. I'm guessing this is because it knows this is a V220 phone (I don't know, just something I recall reading). How can I get multimedia access??
Please help.

When you get to the point where you want to pull your hair out and or you want to throw the phone & computer out the window because you have tried everything you can think of but the damn phone still won't connect , try p2kman.
You may also need pst installed to run it.

the only way i can think of to load a different phone in mPT, is to go to change modem (F8>Communications), & don't let it search, choose from list, goto phone of choice from listings, & give it a go. }
(make sure you haven't got the cable with the 'bulk' bit in the middle)
