Hey all,
I'm having a problem with my Nokia 6610
I recently purchased a data cable from ebay, it's one of those ones you connect through your battery, so it's not the nokia cable. It connects to your com via serial port.
The phone doesn't even seem to be recognized by my computer. So I am wondering if there is something I am not doing properly.
People have said to me that it wont work with pc suit, so I was wondering are there any other ways for me to install games onto it. I tried oxygen, but it doesn't even seem to be recognizing my mobile either.
I'll be really grateful to anyone who has any type f solution! Thanks!

1. Load the driver on your pc.
2. Goto the Nokia Connection Mgr - comes with PC suite (select the serial port connect & the correct port the cable is connected to on your pc)
3. If set-up correctly, the window will display "Nokia 6610"
To load Games onto your phone, use the Nokia Game Installer program so that your games will be loaded into the GAMES menu on your phone.
Hope this is of some help.

That's nonsense, because PC Suite only works with the DKU-5 Cable with this phone (and all other newer phones) and there are no such drivers or else. I had such cheap cable once to.
Put it on a com-port, install Oxygen oder Mobi. Start them and configure the connection. It's important to select the right type of cable (in most cases FBUS). Maybe you just messed up with the com-port, select the right one.
If you've done everything right, the software will recognize the phone.
Windows or PC Suite won't recognize the phone.

PC Suite will only work with Infra-Red, Bluetooth or the Nokia DKU-5 Cable
Only older phones (like the 6210 or else) will work with such cheap cables and PC Suite.

From the Nokia-Website:
| Quote: | Connectivity Cable DKU-5
A data cable for connecting a compatible PC and Nokia phone. This cable supports the use of Nokia PC Suite software. It enables transfer and synchronization of different data types - for example calendar, phonebook, notes, to-do list-depending on Nokia PC Suite version. |
With your cable you only can use MobiMB or QxygenII
