Thanks for your reply, u really helped me deciding a lot. I can see your from Philippines too, huh? We can communicate via e-mail, you can see my address when you click profile right under my rank and user name.
I don't know if my cousin know about the 1 or 2 years contract thing but he's the one who offered to buy 6630 for me, and for my girlfriend too.
Well, what can i say, i really want that unit so bad so i think i'll give it a try. Anyway, it's cheap so i don't have to worry. I just e-mail you when i have the phone a month from now, but edit your profile first and show your e-mail or just e-mail me. Thanks.
Oh, 1 more thing. Up to what size of memory card can you use in 6630 and what MMC brand is 100% reliable aside from MobyMemory?

Ok, I just updated my profile so you can send me emails in the future. As to your question on MMC, the unit I bought is bundled only with 32MB MMC. Although in the Nokia site, it says 64MB but I think in Japan they only offered the 32MB (wtf). I just checked and its brandless and I cant really suggest a 100% compatible MMC. I suppose all MMC cards would be compatible though.
Just curiuos, where is your cousin located? I'm here in Osaka.

I'd be rather surprised i someone has managed to figure how to unlock the 6630 already.
As far as MMC's are concerned for the 6630, make sure you get a dual voltage MMC card. Th eones that are supplied with things like the 7610 are high voltage ones only and they don't work in the 6630. The dual voltage MMC cards are rated to work at 1.8V and this is key for the 6630. I'm finding that these dual voltage cards are still pretty hard to find... So best of luck...

Hi! Are you in Japan? Cuz I came across in another forum that there is a shop here in japan that can do the unlock for 6630s and other SIM type units like the Sanyo V801SA. Its a bit expensive though for 6630 (Y10,000) but if this is the last resort, maybe I'll give it a try when I have time. Here's this shop's website and perhaps u can check it out yourself.

Thanks for the MMC info!

Hi. I wish it would be that easy to buy the 6630 units here but you see, and as I've posted here (see page 1), you can only get this unit (roughly P5T) if you sign in for a 2-yr contract with Vodafone, postpaid and minimum of abt P2T/mo pkg plan. Magkano na ba dyan sa 'tin?
Sorry if I cant help you on this but do update me Ok once you're able to unlock 6630 via cable and i'll knock on your shop once i'm back there for my vacation.

Nah. I'm not in Japan, though I have visited there many times in the past. Love the place...! even though trying to decide which milk brand I want is so hard! Ha Ha!
No worries about the MMC info, I think someone else has already posted about that elsewhere. I guess I am one of the lucky few that managed to get an unlocked 6630. Just goes to show its all about who you know in this world!

That's about 400 to 441 EURO or 523 to 577 USD.
Anyway, do you know a site that has a full review(including the pros and cons) of 6630?
