dude there are no freebies for this service....since no one can break the BB5 code yet, we have to pay for us to use this unit here in the philippines....
In fact ITS IMPOSSIBLE to have these services online for now...as i explain to my last post all we can do is to find someone who can change the board and its chip set in a cheaper price...thats the ONLY WAY you can use this unit......
and remember Vodafone UK is different from VODAFONE Japan, those services that we can find in the net are all from UK....so i think its impossible for their code to be effective in other vodafone units
SO all of the user of these F*ck*in 6630 vodafone unit...help me to find some one that can change its board or chipset in a cheaper price....its 9500 in greenhills, 7000 in quiapo and 5000 in cubao...any more?????

have u heard of phonerepairworld.com???
well many said that they are the real deal but the sad thing is u have to send the unit to ther office which is located in england and cost u 130 US dollars its 7000 plus if converted to peso...and without the shipping fee..
so any more ideas???? i think its better to go to quaipo than send my F*ck*ng! 6630 to england....

All you can do is contact Vodafone. They gave you the code, the code was wrong, seems to be their fault.

dude sory to hear that if you want to use your 6630, you have 2 ways:
first, you can ask someone to change the main board this will allow you to use the phone in all area of the world specially yours, but it will cost you big bucks kid...
2nd, you can ask someone to re-flash your unit..remmber this will only restart you phone it will NOT unlock it..ok???
well can i know the website of the customer support of vodafone???
im having troubles connecting to them...well i wish i help you..well see yah guys and let hope that there is someone in this big world that will finally break the damn code...i hope robert landon here...

Will i able to use it in the Philippines with prepaid simcard without any hustle?
I've been longing to have this phone since i saw it on Nokia site but some 6630 review say that it has so many problems. Should i risk replacing my 3 months old 6600 with 6630 from Japan? Is Nokia's warranty international in case i encountered some problems? Please help me on this. Thanks! |
Hi there. I think I could answer all of your questions, so sitback and read:
1. Nokia 6630 price. Your cousin is correct, this unit I got is only Y9,800 which in peso would be about P5,000 or less than US$100. Other shops I think is selling it for Y8,000 (do the math ). However, I'm not sure if your cousin knows this...to get this unit, he has to sign in for a 1 yr or 2 yrs contract and that is post paid. Which means, even if he sends you the unit, he has to pay for whatever package plan he gets (Y3,000/mo is the cheapest i guess) for a yr or 2 without having a fone to use bcuz its already wid u. But since it seems like you are too eager to have it soon, here's what I suggest. If your cousin has the 1st 3G fone offered by Vodafone, which is the Sanyo V801SA, he can try putting his new USIM card (upgraded ver of SIM they say) to that old fone. If that works, then ur wish is granted. BUT...
2. Using the unit in the Philippines. Up until now since I got my 6630 3 weeks ago, I'm still searching for answer on how to 'unlock' my fone (SIM restriction OFF or making it openline as we call it). Vodafone has locked all their USIM type units to only work within their network. There are 2 ways to do it, I was told. One is via software by inputting a series of codes. I got my free code from another forum on the net, unfortunately it did not unlock it. The sender thinks vodafone embedded the lock from the load booter w/c is unusual perhaps. So I'm not even sure if my last option will work - which is via cable PKD-1. Since ur there in pinas and I know we have plenty of geeks doing these stuff, can u chk it out? I'll try mine when I go back there mid of march. Once the unit is unlocked, u should have no problem putting ur SIM, whether prepaid or post!
3. A fone bought from Japan via vodafone and brought to the phils. will void its warranty. Unlocking it either here or there will also void it! But do u really care, all our Nokias there bought from greenhills has no warranty anyway
4. What sort of problems have u heard, I have to watch out for them. So far, I'm having fun with my unit. I've already loaded it with a lot of applns, from themes to games to ringing tones, u name it. Plus the camera is superb... its 1.3mega pixels, 1st of Nokia (units here though already are 2mp). My unit hangs sometimes but I think its bcuz it has too many apps in there. No worries for me though, i just switch it off and back on! I don want to complain... i've been longing for a nokia fone here since 2 yrs ago
Well, that's about it. U dsyd! |
Hi there!! where you at right now? r u using 6630 vodafone?? u said that u have been loaded your fon of lots of applications?... i've been using this fon for awhile and until now i cant load it with applications.. i have lots of applications here i tried to install it to my fon it always says "unable to install" or "security error" or something like that.. is it in restriciton or something?? i tried to put .mp3 file on it.. it wont play then i converted my .mp3 files to .amr thats the only type that my fon accepts.. but it sounds horrible doesnt sound good.. so i tried to install mp3 player on my fon it wont install waaah!! help me whats wrong? i been trying to search unlock codes on the net i just only found SIM Unlock .. please help
i would really appreciate it thanks
