oh well, ivw been really looking for shops that can unlock this unit, but still no luck. they said no one in the philippines can unlocking this unit for now.. they still have no cables. *sigh*

can somebody help me i have this problem on my 6630 its from japan and i cant install some themes it says..installation security error.unable to install..anyone can help me? email me @ -edited- mabuhay ang pinoy sa japan..hehe

hi.. i'm in japan right now and just bought a nokia 6630.. the phone is superb.. but the the thing is.. i've downloaded themes from different wap sites and even tried to transfer them from pc to my phone using the USB cable.. but it won't install.. can u pls help me.. i'm dying to have different themes in my phone.. i had a nokia 6600 before and evry theme i downloaded were installed easily.. but with my nokia 6630 i really don't know what to do.. my service provider is also vodafone so i think u can help me.. plssssssssssssssssssss.............

i also got my new 6630 from vodafone (by the way im from philippines but im here in japan ryt now.. ) im checking out some unlocking pages from the web until i read this conversations.. i found out that im not the only one who's searching for a solution to this kind of prob about "unlocking" vodafones 6630. i just tried what they call the "unlocking system" using the nokia code calculator and it doesnt work - obviously i think i got fooled by that! well my point is i just wanna share my experience about that so that others wont waste time anymore trying it.
anyway i wanna try the other option i got in mind (but not sure of this thing yet cos i just heard it from my friend) that theres a cellphone store in megamall (like semicon - something like that) who has the "cd - software" already to unlock 6630 from japan. they said its new and the price was 3000 pesos (correct me if im wrong). i cant wait to go home to find it and see it myself if its true.if there's anybody who wants to check it out pls try to leave a msg for me and update me if really there is any cellphone store who do the job.
as of now im trying to enjoy my 6630 eventhough sometimes im having a hard time txting bcos the keypads are so small..  and that i cant even download mp3 songs from my computer to use it as my ringtone & etc.

Were all in the same boat. I have 6630 from Japan and locked to Vodafone. I called semicon and other cell shop in Megamall as well as Festival Mall in Alabang and Southmall, but they all pointed me to Nokia Office so i called the main office of Nokia in Makati and they said no one can unlock it here in the Philippines yet as of now and they don't know for how long. They said the easiest way of unlocking it is to send the phone to the network it is locked to.
About MP3 as ringtone, i heard that 6630 from Vodafone doesn't have that function (please correct me if i'm wrong). You should buy a third party software to be able to do that.

well.. i think i have no other way but to wait until somebody from grinhills already has the software to unlock my 6630 from vodafone.
i just wanna ask if there's somebody who knows how to unlock my ericsson p900 so i could use it here in jpan.. is there any possible way that i can use it here? one time im tryin 2 search for a network and then i saw that there's a globe & smart network available but when i tried 2 put the smart & globe sim it has no signal even if both sims were in their roaming. i assumed that my p900 is locked because i cant use it here. any advice?

Hi guys! I also own a nokia 6630 from vodafone japan and was just wondering how can I download themes and ringtones and stuffs. This is the first time that I have got a nokia and I pretty much dont have a clue on how to set it up. I tried the links on the phone itself but its taking me to a japanase download site which I couldn't understand. I also get errors saying that there was an error in installation. I am also interested in unlocking my phone. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
