I downloaded a few small mp3 files that I converted to .wav files, then I tried to covert them to .mmf files, but psmplay said it couldn't be done. Is there a specific .wav format I should convert them to first before converting it to .mmf?

I've got the same problems too
Does anyone if there is a specific WAV format that is compatible with PSMPlay??
I can convert it fine with the Yamaha converter, but I just can't upload it to the phone, because I assume its a bad mmf file
Thanx

You have to convert wav to midi first.
Then convert midi to poly (mmf).
Search on the internet for programs to do this. There are loads of shareware available.

You dont necessarily have to convert to midi first..
All you have to do is make sure when you're converting the MP3 to .wav that the frequency is at "4Khz", "8" or "16" Bits and preferably on "Mono Channel". General rule of thumb, the lower those numbers are, the longer your ringtone will go be (avg around 10 - 15 secs). With the wav, in this format, you can convert straight from wav -> mmf using psmplayer, Good Luck guys.

hahaha, u can not conver direct wav to mmf . if u want to conver wav to mmf , u should reduce quality wav/mp3 file to 8khz-16bit-Mono , then use Yamaha tool to conver to mmf file , it's does not about size of wav file, i was conver wav file with 500kb and still ok , but the voice sound not good, i try to looking a good software. Ok have fun.
