Ebay is a great source for faceplates, but be very careful. If you swap faceplates, you will void your phone's waranty. This includes the VZW replacement/extended waranty as well. They can tell if you swap them and then put it back due to the screws on the inside of the covers being worn... I watched some poor person get the, "Sorry, your waranty is void!" speach at a local VZW store earlier. Just didn't look like much fun...

I'm probably in a minority, but I don't understand the fascination with ringtones. I find most of them incredibly annoying. That it has become an lucrative business astounds me.
I found two ringtones - one is an old rotary dial telephone ring and the other is an office phone ring and those are the only two I use. I deleted all the others.
I was in an elevator once and three cell phones began to ring. One was Usher, one was Flight of the Bumble Bee and the other was Metallica.
Unbelievable.

Think of it as being an individual, making a person more unique, having there personal ringtones makes them more different then the person with the same old boring ringtone. if everyone had the same ringtone, everyone would look at there phone when it rang. while i do agree with you that some ringones are just downright awful.....they know there phone is ringing and not anyone elses. while i make my own ringtones, so i have music that i like only on there, but like you were saying some people just want the normal ringtone, everyone has there tastes right. well i guess the majority of tastes is growing towards ringtones

Even better, which listener probably didn't realize, is that this was probably the same person getting a call from his office, home and his wife's cell with ringer's assigned to each one...
Personally, I use different ringers so I know who is calling... That's about it...
