It sucks. I can hardly hear anything with the volume at maximum. Is there a fix for this, a firmware upgrade maybe?

When I do a voice record I can hardly hear myself when I play it. Is there any way to fix this?

Voice record is a useless feature.
Voice record aren't meant to be played through your speakerphone but your earpiece.
I don't know anyway of fixing it.

Pity, not that I wanted to use it or anything, its just that I like to know that everything is working and okay.

Well I truely believe that to be true, voice notes are pointless, further more I guess the quality you've received is the quality they intended it to be. (IMO) I could be wrong but have it checked out anyway if you really think it is faulty.

When I try to use the procedure on the tips & tricks thread I can't get my V265 to go in the opscode mode. Has anyone with this phone figured out how to do this?

You can't enter opcode menu? Its just entering the menu then you got 5 seconds to push 048263* Otherwise please specify what you can't get working.
