Sometimes my p800 will come up with a screen asking me (via diagram) to hold down the power button for 10 seconds, allowing it to shut down. I thought maybe it was due to a shock or a droppage, but I had just turned it on yesterday and it did it almost straight away. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Nobody is exactly sure but it generally has something to do with memory and perhaps some unstable apps you have installed. It is similar to windows blue screen of death. Use swticher to monitor memory and that may help if you're careful.
Apparently a software upgrade is the way to go. Free in your first year of warranty. You will need to go to carphonewhorehouse with a service centre. Take proof of purchase and arble on about the triangle of death and kernel errors etc.

I had the same system problem on my p800 once, now im encountering frequent communicam failures, it does not display the subject your aiming, but if you press the trigger to take picture it does take picture, it only displays the logo "sony ericsson" Ill need to reboot the phone if that happens so i can use the cam in normal operation. it happened several times alredy, does anyone can help with this.

Thanx, it's good to know that I'm not the only one having troubles.
I recently deleted the Stunt Car game and Men In Black, but I have a lot of ringtones and pics in the memory, so maybe that could be causing the problem.
No sure about the CommuniCam problems, Wynnard, sorry.

Nah I have no idea since i haven't got a P800.
Hope its not a kind of Windows they put in or else you can sell your phone immediatly!

i think this is due to low power... i get that problem when i try shooting pics with my battery meter colored red
