icon_biggrin.gif Whoo Hoo!
I used:

LGUSBModemDriver_Ver_4.1.exe :Link Here
*Thanks to Admz24*
and
USBInstaller.exe :Link Here

I too had the "logo" problem on my two Win XP Pro machines. I kept hitting ignore/install the driver anyways.

The computer actually installed THREE drivers:
1 for the device itself/modem
1 for the COM port
1 for the cable.

**I received the MS Logo error for each driver. As stated above, just ignore.**

Afterwards, I no longer received multiple "new hardware" alerts.

Other helpfull information was contained in this thread: Link Here

I now use Bitpim easily!

Sigh.... great work on the fix, but it doesn't work on the 8000... and LG doesn't have the drivers for the 8000 yet. Dammit! icon_razz.gif
