Whoo Hoo!
I used:
LGUSBModemDriver_Ver_4.1.exe :Link Here
*Thanks to Admz24*
and
USBInstaller.exe :Link Here
I too had the "logo" problem on my two Win XP Pro machines. I kept hitting ignore/install the driver anyways.
The computer actually installed THREE drivers:
1 for the device itself/modem
1 for the COM port
1 for the cable.
**I received the MS Logo error for each driver. As stated above, just ignore.**
Afterwards, I no longer received multiple "new hardware" alerts.
Other helpfull information was contained in this thread: Link Here
I now use Bitpim easily!

I fixed my links so that they're hidden! ... Sorry about that!

Sigh.... great work on the fix, but it doesn't work on the 8000... and LG doesn't have the drivers for the 8000 yet. Dammit!
