Ive got an unlocked TMobile A630 and I use it with AT&T wireless. I can't get onto the internet to download rings or use AIM or anything because it is set up for TZones not mMode. I called AT&T and they gave me the necessary browser settings, but they dont know how to change them. So I called TMobile, and Motorola, neither of which knew how to change the browser settings in my phone. Please someone help me there has got to be a way. I have clicked on every possible option in my phone and simply cannot find the browser settings anywhere

I just received an email from Motorola, they told me to go to Web Access, then Browser Setup, and enter the numbers in there, as if I havent tried that. But there is nothing listed under Browser Setup that allows me to change anything there is, clear history, reset cache, clear cookie, and something else. I know I am not the first or only person to buy a TMobile A630 for AT&T service there has got to be someone out there that knows how to get the internet to work in this situation

You have to use P2K and change the settings to enable web sessions you can then input the AT&T settings. I have done that with my A630, but still I am unable to use the email function. Curiously what settings did AT&T give you?

i was using a e315 for a little while with my cingular SIM, but i couldnt use MMS or WAP since it was set up for t-mobile's network. I called cingular one afternoon to see if they could send me an OTA with the settings or something [OTA stands for Over The Air, basically its like a sms that after you open it, it saves new phone settings automatically and you just do a power cycle and it all works]. Problem was, the rep i got was a complete and total moron, i told him that i just needed the settings for MMS for my e315, he put me on hold then came back and started telling me how to take and then send a picture on the e317. after i told him that i already knew how to do that, and that i just needed the settings sent to my phone, mumbled some more stuff, put me on hold, then came back on and just hung up on me. Well, after that, i got so pissed that i just said 'F' it and i sold the phone to my friend. He said that he too couldnt get the settings, but im not sure how hard he tried.
basically, you should just call cingular (from a different phone than your cell) and keep asking to talk to someone else *higher* untill you get a rep who knows whats going on. There has to be at least a handfull of them working there.
PS. after asking nearly a dozen different reps, from both cust service and a direct store, a rep on the afterhours support team was the first and only one who actually knew what a SIM unlock code was, and that cingular doesnt provide them to customers.
you might wanna call at night.
