Here are some tips for better battery life:
-Settings>Personalize>Screen Saver>Picture set to None *this should help ALOT*
-Settings>Initial Setup>display timeout 1min.
-Settings>Initial Setup>Backlight>Timer 20 seconds. This is the lowest setting on my phone, if there is a lower one go with that
-Settings>Personalize>Home Screen>Home Keys>Smart Key to Bluetooth Link. Set the Bluetooth setup menu to a softkey for faster access. Also turn the Bluetooth radio off. This lets you activate bluetooth without going through so many screens and deactivate it just as fast
-Settings>Audio>Ring Detail>Key Volume 0.

I'm planning on picking up my Black Razr on Wednesday (7/13) - and ONE of the main reasons I'm getting it is because of bluetooth.
Questions: I'm assuming no problem with using Bluetooth in the car with a car adapter charger (makes sense to me) ... and .....
how far away from the phone will one of the BT headsets work? 100ft? If that's the case can you just leave it plugged in to the charger. In my work environment - 100ft (30 yards) is huge! Am I missing something here?

And the high output bluetooth transmitter in these phones is also known for eating batteries pretty quickly. I get three to four days from full charge to dead with the network settings unhacked and BT off. I don't have any bluetooth stuff so i can't tell you for sure how long you get, but ive seen people say a day or two tops with the bluetooth on. |
I modded my phone seems to allow video recording and my battery, after being charged for 10+ hours shows only 2 battery bars (green) when i disconnect from charger. I think i'm gonna put original seems back on.

my grilfriends razr has battery problems too. And I'm not happy with mine either. We both got our phones a week ago, and the battery dies before the day ends. We do talk about 3 hrs per day, but the phone should last more then that, shouldn't it?
We charged the phones till it sayd... charge complete. I mean what if I kept it hours longer, would that do a difference since it's not charging anymore anyways....
I guess I'll try to see if I can get a new battery from T-mobile...

still your friend's battery!!!!!
or go to the autorized dealers for exchange
(it is hard but possible)
i know dealers could say they cannot do that
or try to charge fees for exchange
BUT here's a secret
most of authorized dealers (includes where i am working)
has returned phones which dealer needs to return it to the warehouse;
got an idea??? they can exchange the battery with no problem, but they
did not want to..
why?? they are greedy bastards.. ha ha
so go and ask.. or find my store i'll do that for you!!!
we have 5 retuned V3s in stock

If I remember correctly there is no memory for Lithium batteries and therefore no problem of partial charge or partial discharge will not affect the battery.

That what they said but user proved defferently. you have to do it once, charged it full then run it out completly then recharged that's all

Ok, Same problem, battery dies after only 24hours on standby, BT not enabled etc. etc. Does anyone have contacts at Motorola, If so you might this thread to them. Other option would be for US to all email Moto about a recall of batteries. I for one paid good money for the Phone and expect Every aspect of it to work.
My thoughts. Mike
