For some reason the past few days my Razr does not last for more than a day. I take it off the charger around 10AM and by the time its around 2AM the power level goes to 4 and by the time its 7 or 8AM it has a low battery warning and dies not too long after. When I first got my Razr like two weeks ago, it lasted well over a day after a full charge. Its been really quite annoying that I cant have it last for more than a day b4 I have to recharge it.
IMO the possible culprits could be getting my phone unlocked? Because not too long after I got my phone unlocked, this problem with the battery appeared. Has anyone heard of problems like this? Is my phone permanently screwed? Is getting a new battery going to make a difference? Should I go back to the store where I got it unlocked? I think they used smart clip, which is supposedly the only way to uinlock razr's at the moment.

You could have it's IMEI calculated, but if your constantly on the phone and playing games or talking that may be why. Do a comparison, once you take it off the charger against the manuals given battery life.

Haven't you maybe deactivated Battery Save Mode? Do you have JAVA or Bluetooth running in the background on your phone? This could be the problem.

Well that may be a suggestion but why would you? I don't think you can deactivate battery saving unless you know you did it.

Actually the problem is I rarely use my phone for internet, games, java, etc. At most I probably talk on the phone for a total of 30 minutes.
But I do have bluetooth on the whole time because I have the new TL and use the hands free link. Its on constantly even when I am not in my car, could that be a factor? If so, thats pretty weak, because bluetooth shouldnt take that much power does it? On my old Ericcson t616 the bluetooth was on all the time too, and it lasted for days.

Network settings -> speed -> low or medium!
Continueous will kill it within a day!
It kicked my V505 from 2.5 days to 4.5 days (observed on 4 phones)

i believe you where too eager to use the phone when you bought it and neglected to give it at least a 12/16 hour charge.
the first charge on any nicad or rechargable battery is th emost important one as it does a few things with the battery and the phone.
1. it sets the charge rate & maximum allowance in the phone to allow it to display 'charge full'
2. it creates a memory in the battery 2 allow it to store enough to back up.(boot settings)
3. it continuosly restores settings depending on usage...basically it decides a setting for 'Stand By' & 'Talk Time'
if it has not been allowed to do this to it's full extent when knew the life with be shortened.

I probably didnt charge it properly the first time, I dont think I gave it the full 12 hours. But I didnt think that the performance would be so severly affected. I mean I think the perfomance is cut by 2/3...
I suppose my best bet is probably to get a new battery.
