Bobby2sox, how did you activate java app loader? I looked all over my phone and never found one. Your V551 has Bluetooth built in. Use that. It is so much easier. Just go buy a small bluetooth USB adapter for your computer, install the software for it, then take a look at my previous post on this thread. It is a lot less headache and worked for me every time. I use it and Mobile Phone Tools to transfer pics, sounds and other junk like that and use just the blue tooth app for games and apps. If ou have any Q's ask me. I have 2 Moto V551's (mine and my wifes) and have learned a lot about them.

To enable java uploader function that has been hiden in your fone you need to use PST (Phone Service Tool) to do it. You won't see it in your fone untill you do so then when you select java setting you'll see it there

True, but as in my previous posts, I could never get my phone to connect with PST. It is too easy to do with BT. You just drag the file over, on the phone you click accept, click install, and say yes or no to play. That is it! You do not have to turn activate anything, except to turn on BT power.

That true too, but if you ever need the earpice, your ring tone your speaker get louder, or you 551 is AA verson only allow you back lihgt to stay on only 20 second max and you need to make it to 60 sec stay on all the time then you need cable and those software to do that, but this just for your FYI, I use to use BT but as iwent further it's just not enought!

OKAY NOW! I finally did get my cable to work with PST. Not sure what I did, but after uninstalling PST and the Motorola modem, I got it. I enabled Java App loader menu and it all works that way too now. COOL! Thanks to everybody here! This is one of the first forums where people really help one another, rather than put them down. I figured I would catch a lot of flack for using BT, but you were all okay with it, and you made sure I understood that the cable does have advantages. That is why I kept trying. Thank you all.

If i'm not mistaken this is a pairing passwords codes so try this enter on your fone 0000 and then on your PC 0000
