You may want to try a Cell Booster for problems with poor reception and dropped calls.

I replaced antenna of V551with the one recommened on this thread, still same problem, poorest reception and calls drops.
Worst phone I ever have.

Im not sure but I really think there are compatability issues with this phone and the network. When I got my V551 about a year ago I had terrible reception. I only had it for about a month before switching to a Nokia 6620. The difference was immediate and very substantial. Its hard to beat Nokia reception. Go with the 6682
