Yep, the Jazz Midi Sequencer is easy to use. It is a shareware. You should be able to locate it through any search engine.

hmm... what do you mean by trim down? if you wanna remove parts of a midi and adjust volume you can use Cubase. its not freeware but who cares.

Quicktime Pro will open up and edit polyphonic midi files on both Mac and PC's. Once you've cut them down to the length you need to export the file as'Standard Midi File' and bluetooth (or whatever you use) them to you phone.Not only will Quicktime do this but it acts as a swiss army knife for a host of audio,graphic and video format conversions.

There is a program called Psm Player by APO I use it for trimming length at any start and end point as well as adjusting the volume on the individual instruments or as a whole, great for making ringtones... best of all, it's FREE!!!!

One more thing... it works on other ringer formats as well like rttl's and stuff...
