Well, it depends of what name you are using. For example:
In my phone, when entering the Ringtones menu, I get the ringtones' names (e.g: Alert, Bells, etc.), and if I enter P2k I get ~AlertFile001.mid, ~AlertFile006.mid and so on.
So maybe this is your problem.

I found out the problem for deleting the pics, i just wasnt naming them correctly and as for the ringers, i was able to take off them except for a few. I couldnt remove the Alert, Bells, Bits & Bytes etc... i tried using the ~AlertFile001.mid but no luck there either.

Well, I don't know what to say..I am using the USB connection, and you said you were using Bluetooth. In my particular case, I used p2k to remove the "system" attributes off the ringtones, pictures and videos, and just deleted them from within the phone, but I kept those files (alarm, bells, bytes and bits, chimes, etc) because I noticed that were often used by the phone. I would recommand you to do this also...your choice. Wait for another answer if you really want them gone.

Hello,

I ran into the problem of deleting TOO many ringtones from my phone - the .imy and .bas files, which I *think* I'm not supposed to have. Because now, my phonebook doesn't work properly.

I did backup all my files that I took off of it - where exactly do I reupload them to? Not my audio folder again, I don't think... cuz it just shows up in my ringtone section. Shouldn't it be hidden? Any help would be awesome, thanks!

the ringer details section of my phone will not work, I have tried deleting them through p2kman and it says

"Deleting file /a/mobile/audio/MyToneDB.dbUSB: IO Time-out!
CMD: Data write fail!
Fail!"

I have tried a Master Reset, and the ringer details section still does not work, I am new to this and did not create backup files icon_cry.gif

Can ANYONE help me out?! You would be a life saver.
I would really like for someone to give me the backup files if possible.
PLEASE HELP

I know this isn't an mp3 file deleting question but I think it has to do with trying to delete locked files ...

I used P2K Commander v.1.3.4 to create some new skins in their own directories and they loaded fine, however after checking them out on the phone and not wanting some of them I deleted them using P2K Commander. I changed the attributes of all files unwanted to 0 and deleted the them...the folders were gone since no files were in there. After restarting and checking the phone, the unwated skins are still there...only now when selected they just load the options of the Moto skin.

1. Can any1 help with deleting the options?
2. Do I need to upgrade or change the flash and flex of the phone to get rid of em? If so, what is the latest flex/flash I can use?

Here is some info on my phone:
Unlocked V620 w/T-Mobile USA
S/W Ver: R376_G_0E.65.25R
Flex Ver: GSRV620T673DA070
DSP S/W Vers: 62212100
Language List: 0024

Thanks to any1 that can help! icon_smile.gif

I used mpt to remove all locked pictures, and it worked great. THX icon_biggrin.gif

But now i will remove all my locked ringtones to, and i wonder then : Were should i put all the 0kb files i have created (ex."Power Surge.MIDI) ,in the "root-folder" or in the "audio-folder" ?

EDIT : Is it even possible to delete the locked ringtones with mpt ?
