i tried to upgrade my v3 and now when people phone me there is no ringtone sound please help

i have a v180 and a lil problem i deleted all my wall papers but when it come to the stock pic i don't know wats there label (ex jpg,gif al i see in detail is predefined animation plzzz help
can any one tell me wat to do

@ Jake. Use one of the p2k programs to delete the two .db files in the phones audio folder and restart the phone. Then do a master reset. Then go into ring style details and select a new ringtone

Using the steps described for deleting locked files using MPT, I've been able to delete the locked wallpapers, videos and midi's, but the only one I haven't been able to get rid of is the Moto.mp3 file (and of course, it's the one I find most annoying).
Is it really using an mp3 extension, or did they give it an odd name... I haven't got my cable yet, so I was hoping that someone who has been in with the p2k utils can fill me in on the filename and see if it works for killing the locked mp3 as well.

I am not certain if i am posting in the right section here, so here goes, i gave my GF my Motorola V3 RAZR mobile phone, and i have been trying to follow other peoples recommendations for removing the following files.
I have looked in the phone and the files are as follows
Sounds first
1 claps 0.11 kb
2 cosmic 1.22 kb
and the list goes on and on, up to 42 sound files and then there are also 7 jpeg files that are locked to the phone, also there are 7 gif files locked to the phone as well, and dont let me forget the hellomotovideo which is 215kb big and if i could get rid of all these files, i could gain 3236 kb back on the said phone i have tried again and again through MPT and i am getting nowhere at all please help with any info thanks

I went to my Girlfriends house on Saturday, and took my laptop with me and also your instructions on how to delete the files on the phone, and i was getting carried away with myself, it does become quite easy when you get the hang of it, however, when it came to deleteing the HELLOMOTO.VIDEO from the phone i was not so lucky, i tried HELLOMOTO.video, HELLOMOTO.mpeg, and other different ways that i could think but nothing no luck at all in taking the video off, and it is 215 KB which is quite a lot really, have you any other ideas about removing that annoying video, i would be most grateful, also it seemed to me like the phone was putting some of the files back on ??? is this possible

I read all this stuff.You cant remove any locked files with MPT....If you can tell me how.You all must be leaving a lot of stuff out..Like what are the file names for streaks ,metal food etc. just food.jpg???? There is a locked folder and you cant get inside it..I downloaded p2k and it messed up my pc and MPT and i had to system restore...I need to memory but this is not worth it...Pain in the rear.I tried making a file in notepad and named it food jpg. and transfering....It didnt work.... not surprised....are you all professionals or what....

Ok here what I learned.. you must get the proper file name from another site or guess ...the pictures are jpg or gif . Then you open notepad ,new file ,save as, then you must put it in the proper folder in your pc . this was my problem( if it is a picture file it must be in your my pictures folder). and you must highlight (both) your file and the correct root folder then transfer...It will make X across the file in the phone and now you will see the file under the folder (unlocked) in your MPT. highlight it and delete it .So easy a beginner can do it

Help I don't know what I deleted but now the whole screen is black!!! I can see the top (signal and battery) what do I do???? This sucks

You have deleted the moto skin.
If you cannot connect with p2k programs remove the sim card and start the phone up - hopefully you can now connect - if so copy the skin onto the phone then use motokit to do a master reset.
If that doesn't work start in bootloader (hold # and * while turning the phone on) and flex your phone
