Can anyone do this? I have been unsuccessful as of yet. What I am attempting to do is this-send a picture, via e-mail from my PC to my phone, as an attachment. I get a text message, but no attachment.
Anyone?
Thanks

Hello,
I was able to successfully send an image to my phone. The image was a .jpg file, 128 pixels wide by 128 pixels high.
It took a while to get to my phone (15 mins or so)...

I actually called Cingular yesterday to find out what I was doing wrong. For some reason, my MMS pay per use had been disabled, so they reenabled it and gave me the correct e-mail/MMS address that I had to use...and I was able to do it, finally!
Here is the info, for others who need it:
For e-mailing just text: yourcingularnumber@mobile.mycingular.com
For MMS (graphics): yourcingularnumber@mms.mycingular.com
Hope this helps someone! It helped me

Mmk. I have tried sending backgrounds to myself forever and it never works. =/ I tried that mynumber@mms thing and i got an email back saying the address didnt exist. This is so annoying.
Could you like give me a step by step and like what dimensins your pic was and did you attach it or embed it.. all the details. And Ill call Cingular and see why i dont get mms messages.
Thanks..

I attached mine. They were 128 x 128 (the resolution of the C1300) and you have to be able to connect (get that G in the corner of your phone) to download and save to your phone. Yes, I'd call Cingular to make sure nothing in your features is disabled.
Let me know if you get it to work!
Best of Luck!

It's a jpeg (jpg), but I know you can send gif's as well. I wouldn't advise sending bmp's because they are always HUGE KB's.

I'm so glad i found this forum! it worked fine for me, all i did was save the 128x128 jpeg in photoshop, attached it to an email and sent it to my address, formatted this way (areacode and phone # all as one long #):
1234567890@mms.mycingular.com
ten seconds later it showed up in my inbox. my cingular plan charges 1 cent per kilobyte of data, so sending the tiny picture only cost me 6 cents! cingular has a cool program on their website where you can upload an image, edit and crop it and then send it to your phone, all for $1.99 per photo. it's pretty slick, but no thanks! $0.06 is a much better deal!

omg! i think i'm like the happiest person to find this. ii didn't even know that you can send pics to the c1300 phone from comp. -_- sucks i can't try it right now cos i'm china since the phone doesn't work here. can`t wait till ii get back to cali & try it. but i'm getting a new phone in like a month after ii get back. fjdlksajfdlksa i was wondering if other phones that aren't LG or cingular can send pics to it? cos i'm prolly joining another phone company too.. anyone know?
